I have a 1965 4 door post Galaxie that I've owned since high school. It's a small block automatic with no air conditioning, manual drum brakes and power steering. Pretty typical for one of these cars.

I'm going to do some upgrades to make it more of a fun car to drive. I'm going to switch it over to power disc brakes and do some spring and bar upgrades to the suspension. Current sway bar measures about .680.

For fun and also to get an idea of what I'm going to need for springs I borrowed a set of scales from one of my circle track customers. I thought that the corner weights might be interesting:

1000 LF 1019 RF
866 LR 873 RR

3758 gross weight.
53.7% front

I always wondered how "nose heavy" the car was with the small block etc. Not really terrible. If I moved the battery to the trunk it would probably be close to 50%. Just adding 100lbs to the front as though it had an FE big block, takes it to over 56% front!

When I get it apart I'm going to rate the stock springs but I'm betting they're going to be soft.. I'm thinking maybe a 320 in the front and a 125 or so in the back..
