Anyone have experience with AFD heads? They appear to be decent heads but rarely show up in a build here or elsewhere. Thanks, Chuck

Yeah, here in Oz they’re pretty popular .
I’ve used more sets of CHi heads than anything else but the latest 427 clevor I’m doing is sporting a set of AFDs latest batch of premium head.
Cost was about $400 less than a similar set of CHI’s so it was a big plus on that front.
What I didn’t count on was the head f### associated with getting the heads and manifold to line up.
Because of the scarcity of clevor intakes I’ve had to use a CHI single plane intake and make that work with the AFD’s.
For some obscure reason the heads are some 0.250 wider than other heads on the market so fitment can be troublesome .
Lots of trips back and forth to the machine shop to get everything to line up.
Another gripe I had was how far the advertised flow figures are from what we saw.
Next time I’m gonna stick with CHI or SCM’s.
