My ride is a 1972 Gran Torino Sport. It has it's original 351 Cleveland and Toploader 4 spd. I have owned the vehicle since the early 90's and currently it's been sitting in my garage for 4 years waiting on me to get back to work on it. Engine needs a rebuild and was built in the mid to late 70's. I used to have all the specs, cam card, and other engine docs but they are now long gone. I have a vintage set of hooker super comps and cherry bombs with dumps on it.....I know I need to get that upgraded. Photos were taken in the early 90's.

Thank you for welcoming me to the forum. Torino's are fun, just with they had the aftermarket following of the mustang. This forum is great and I enjoy reading the information you guys post. Hopefully I can get my Cleveland up and running this year.

Join my club. You would figure someone other than U.S. Body Source would have any aftermarket body parts for a Cougar. Seeing there are alot of Cougars out there and they all rust, someone should repop fenders. Oh well. They have some stuff for your car too. Fiberglass equals less weight and that wont hurt with a heavy car with a small block

Nice, they have a hood and trunk lid for my ride....but no fenders :) I love those Cougars! When I was a teen I wanted a 67-68 Cougar or 66-67 Fairlane. I really like the hide-a-way lamps on some models. I've seen a couple of restomod 72 Cougars that look pretty good as well. There was a rumor at one point that Mercury was going to bring back the Performance Cougar in the mid 2000's and it would again be based on the Mustang. It would have been a luxury Mustang basically. Kind of wish it would have happened before Mercury was shuttered.
