So my outing the tech guy at the Denton track said dont come back without a roll cage/bar set up and at least a fire jacket. So what kits do you Cougar and Mustang guys like. Making my own is out of the question - i just dont have the tools. Im thinking of this kit. Anyone else have suggestions? DragBoss, Falcon67 ????

I dont know. I took my car to a guy who built one for it. I'm always a little concerned those prefabbed kits arent going to fit correctly and it's going to create a real headache trying to get it to fit.

Yes I know but everyone around me are way to expensive. My buddy has installed a kit like the one in the link before in a Mustang. I was taking with him yesterday and he said it doesn’t matter what roll bar kit you buy, cheap or expensive, you always have to tweak it for your application. He has installed roll cages, made his own and he will help me with mine. I was just wondering everyone’s thoughts on this one or if there is a better choice for the money.

I get my bars from S & W Race Cars. They are real good to work with. When I did the Falcon, they sent the drawings for the Failrlane kit and I made sure it would work - did, minimal cutting - before ordering. They also did the substitution for the rear bars to go through the package tray. They have a zillion applications, more than listed in the catalog so might call and ask. I welded in the Mustang bar but took the Falcon to a local guy to cut and weld up because I had a bitty MIG at that time.

That's what ya get for going fast. Stay above 6.30 (660') or you'll enter the next world of $$$$ equipment. :)
