357ci, Dart Block, CHI heads, funnelweb intake. First trip to the track with new motor. Looking forward to the spring to get this dialed in.

Thanks Brent. The car weighs 3000 with me in it. Thrashed on it for the whole summer to get out this year, unfortunately on got to the track a couple of times before winter showed up. I'll post more info about the combination when I get the time.

Block - Dart Iron Eagle 9.2 deck, 302 sized mains, 4.026 bore

Pistons: Diamond flatops with intake and exhaust reliefs, .043,.043, 3MM Mahle rings

Rods: Crower billet I-beams, 5.78 CC, 2.100 journal, .927 pin I got these from the Crower clearance for $450

Crank: Callies 3.5" stroke, 302 main, Internal balance, took a lot of mallory those rods are heavy!

Sump: Stef's rear sump pan with kick out, baffles and windage screen

Heads: CHI 3V 225, minimal line of sight porting done on the intakes, milled to 47CC chamber volume, copper berylium valve seats
2.18, 1.65 Valves, Xceldyne titanium valves, retainers and locks, PSI 1242D springs, Jessel shaft rockers 1.75 ratio

Intake manifold – Real Parker Funnelweb with 1" dart cloverleaf spacer, port matched to heads

Cam: Camcraft solid roller
Lobe lift .20 dur .50 dur .200 dur
Intake .433 291 262 185
Exhaust .433 301 272 195
Not really sure of anymore specifics as the short block was assembled 10 years ago and the cam card has gone missing
I think it's ground at 106 and installed at 104, not sure though.
Danny Bee belt drive, Manton 3/8" .140 wall push rods

Ignition: MSD Digital 6, Matching HVC coil, MSD crank trigger distributor, Moroso cranktrigger/timing pointer
Made best power at 34* timing

Carb: Pro Systems 4150 885CFM I think

Exhaust: Custom tri y headers, 1.75/1.875 with reverse cone megaphone.

Those are some nice mf headers. I bet they put a little dent in the pocket book. Maybe I missed it but how muck compression and what fuel? With those tinny combustion chambers and flat tops im guessing 13 to 1 or so?

Hey Matt, they are really nice. Calvin Elston did them and I find myself laying under the car and just looking at them.....The craftsmanship is unbelievable. CR is around 12.5 to 1 using the Wallace calculator. It is tough to get that much compression with a flat top in a stock stroke motor, a couple of cc's here or there can change it almost half a point. What is working against me is i have valve reliefs for both intake and exhaust, The intake relief is a little large and I use a 4.200 bore gasket because I have notched the deck for the intake valve. I run Powermist fuel comparable to VP C14. A friend sells it locally and it is priced the same as C12.
