Just having a hard time keeping the plate under the intake sealed. Right now, It may be the o-ring on the distributor. Running, we're pulling about 5 in/hg or a little more. Good enough for now. Will make a separate post on results so Brent can see it.

Replaced the old ratty Simpson chute on the dragster with a nice new RJS unit. Dang, took both of us to wrestle that thing back in the bag. Not throwing that thing out unless I think I'm gonna die LOL.

Used a 1.6K resister to make a 2 step chip, steps to 2400. Then I got the bright idea to go get a 2.5K potentiometer and build a set up I can dial in. The parts may not get here before the weekend. 2400 would be the minimum. I will attempt to test that Friday, but it'll be 105 Friday and 104 for the race, so I may wait until after dark when it's only mid 90s. I did OK using my foot to put it at 2500 and let off the button but it all goes down quick - stage, rev, tree, release - when you run someone close to your dial.

Gday,
You leaving off the top light with a delay box?
Not much time eh!
That was the biggest thing i found after footbraking for years.
I just go into full stage at idle, apply the brake and button and sit there, let go on the flash then hit it, plenty of time to hit the two step specially for you guys with a 500 tree.
That way your not pushed for time and if old mate in the other lane wants to hold you out and burn you down than theres no issues and it doesn't mess with your head!

Cheers ☺

Bottom bulb. Trans brake, two step is legal in all NHRA and IHRA divisions (AFAIK). I run a pure footbrake in the Falcon. TO get the dragster to leave clean and repeatable, I have to be at a higher launch RPM than I can hold accurately with my foot. Hence the chip and a $200 Just-In-Time release button.

However, once we get that all lined out, I will start working on using the K&R Pro Cube delay box. When I get to running alcohol, should be able to run two classes.
